Dear all, I am Dr.Vardendra Kulkarni. I belong to group 2 in the debate. Here are my inputs “against the motion”
E-learning is a waste of time & resources due to the following demerits:
• Unmotivated learners or those with poor study habits may fall behind
• Lack of familiar structure and routine may take time to get used to
• Students may feel isolated or miss social interaction thus the need to understanding different learning styles and individual learner needs.
• Instructor may not always be available on demand
• Slow or unreliable Internet connections can be frustrating
• Managing learning software can involve a learning curve
• Some courses such as traditional hands-on courses can be difficult to simulate
• No self-discipline in the learning process
• No face-to-face interaction between the trainer & the student
• Lack of flexibility in the module
• Lack of input from trainers
• Slow evolution of the learning process
• Good e-learning is difficult to achieve & requires elaborate preparation
• Lack of transformational power.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
