I would like to thank Dr Sudarshan for favouring us, with his argument that e-Learning can be a useful adjuvant to conventional teaching/learning provided it's use is in an guided regulated limited & streamlined way.

I would like to dispute point 7 raised by Dr Vijaya Kunapuli

7.Time consumption –e learning consumes a lot of time which is responsible for low retention and high dropout. In fact e -learning saves a lot of time involved in going to the institutes. It can be done conveniently according to one's pace balancing the personal and other professional commitments.

I would like to dispute Dr Jayasimha's argument that there is no flexibility with e -learning.The most important thing that stands out in favour of e-learning is the flexibility involved.E -learning provides the flexibility in all the aspects of the TL process.Flexibility with respect to the time, pace, learning styles, course selection etc., to name a few.

I am Dr Satish Patil of ACME 2017 batch. I am for the motion e –learning is the need of the hour.

The most important thing that stand out in favour of e-learning is the flexibility involved-learning provides the flexibility in all the aspects of the e-learning. Flexibility with respect to the time, pace, learning styles, course selection etc. Learning can be scheduled around personal and professional work. Learners may have the option to select learning materials that meets their level of knowledge and interest. Learners can study wherever they have access to a computer and Internet. Self-paced learning modules allow learners to work at their own pace. Different learning styles are addressed and facilitation of learning occurs through varied activities. Course selection can be varied from the basic to more advanced courses. Learning can be customized according to need and the potential. The cost involved is also less. Courses are available that suites the budget needs of everyone.

Thanks.
